Premium Aroid Potting Mix is a ready-to-use growing medium developed for Monsteras, Philodendrons and other commonly grown aroids.

The blend combines coarse, free-draining materials with a moisture-retentive base. This creates an open structure that allows excess water to move through the pot while maintaining sufficient moisture around the roots. Many commonly cultivated aroids benefit from this balance of drainage, aeration and moisture retention.

Roots require both air and water. Bark, pumice and perlite are commonly used to increase porosity, improve drainage and reduce the loss of air space caused by compaction or waterlogging.

• Pumice — increases porosity and aeration while holding a small amount of moisture.
• Coco chips — provide coarse structure and help maintain airflow.
• Perlite — creates additional air space and improves drainage.
• Orchid bark — supports a chunky, open structure around thicker aroid roots.
• Horticultural charcoal — contributes to drainage and keeps the blend open.
• Moisture-retentive organic material — helps prevent the mix from drying too rapidly.

How to use

Use directly from the bag when potting or repotting. Choose a container with unobstructed drainage holes and avoid compressing the mix firmly around the roots.

Water thoroughly after potting, allow all excess water to drain, and adjust future watering according to the plant, pot size, temperature, light and season. A free-draining mix is most effective when the plant is not left standing in water. Continue feeding according to the plant’s individual requirements.
