Tillandsia disticha — Giant Form is an impressive collector air plant prized for its tall, upright growth and long silvery-green foliage. Larger than standard forms of the species, it develops a substantial rosette with a slightly bulbous base and fine, grass-like leaves.

As the plant matures, it readily produces offsets from the base, gradually developing into an attractive spreading cluster. When flowering, a tall, slender yellow inflorescence rises above the foliage and produces small yellow flowers that may carry a soft fragrance.

Architectural, vigorous and highly rewarding, this large-growing form is particularly striking when mounted or displayed where its upright foliage and developing offsets have room to spread.

Light: Bright filtered light with some gentle morning sun
Water: Water thoroughly once or twice a week, increasing during warm or dry weather, then allow the plant to dry completely with good airflow
Humidity: Prefers low to moderate humidity with good airflow
Growth Habit: Large, upright air plant with a slightly bulbous base that produces offsets and gradually forms a spreading cluster
