Clonex Rooting Hormone Gels                     

The ultimate rooting compound used by professionals and amateurs the world over. Clonex is a bright, translucent gel. It is a high performance formulation of hormones, vitamins and mineral nutrients. Clonex is a high performance rooting compound. It is a tenacious gel which will remain in contact around the stem, sealing the cut tissue and supplying the hormones needed to promote root cell development, and vitamins to protect the delicate new root tissue.

Stem cuttings are the most common type of cutting

• Usually 10 to 15 cm long.
• Use current or last year’s growth Terminal parts of the stem best.
• Long shoots can give several cuttings.
• Keep cuttings cool and moist until they are stuck.
• If delayed cutting material can be stored in the fridge in a plastic bag 
• Remove leaves from the bottom  I /3 to Yi of the stem.
• Cut leaves of large-leafed species in half.
• Pour Clonex into a separate container for dipping.
• Do not pour unused Clonex back into the original container
• Dip cuttings to I cm up the stem.
• A 45-degree angle cut is the best.
• Stick and maintain humidity.

Post Cutting Care

• Humidity should be maintained at a high level Air changes  should  be done regularly
• Moisture  level in the medium  needs to be maintained
• Plant food needs to be supplied to the cuttings when roots first form Light  levels should be satisfactory  for  photosynthesis

• Sufficient pore space to contain air.
• Be free draining, but still hold enough water for the cutting.
• The medium should be disease free.
• The medium should contain all plant mineral nutrients essential for growth.
