Philodendron verrucosum
The Philodendron verrucosum is a stunning climbing aroid that I'm absolutely thrilled to offer in my collection. This highly sought-after species features velvety, heart-shaped leaves that showcase an incredible depth of colour and texture, with dark green surfaces adorned by prominent light-coloured veining and remarkable copper to burgundy undersides.
What makes this Philodendron particularly special in my experience is its dramatic foliage transformation as it matures. I've observed that young leaves emerge with a reddish tinge, developing into their characteristic velvety texture that catches and reflects light beautifully. The striking contrast between the deep green surface and metallic veining makes each leaf a true masterpiece.
