String Of Hearts

I am always enchanted by the String of Hearts (Ceropegia woodii), a delicate trailing succulent with heart-shaped leaves and elegant, cascading vines. The trailing stems grow impressively long—often reaching over 1 m—creating a dramatic and graceful display as they spill over the edges of hanging baskets or shelves. My mother plant is already over two metres tall.

Native to South Africa, this drought-tolerant beauty is particularly prized for its romantic appearance and easy-care nature. The plant produces small, tubular purple flowers along its trailing stems, adding an extra touch of charm to its already appealing display. Its ability to trail over a metre in length makes it perfect for creating dramatic hanging displays.
